Student Support
The Student Advice and Support Office offers impartial, confidential advice and support to students across a wide range of issues including finance, disability and specific learning differences, visa and immigration matters, mental health and wellbeing and more. Student Support Advisors are available on both King’s College and Foresterhill campuses.
For students staying in University of Aberdeen Halls of Residence there is access to Community Liaison Officers and Student Resident Assistants who work very closely with the Student Advice and Support Office.
Academic Support
All students are allocated a Personal Tutor (or Regent) to provide support throughout your studies. Your Personal Tutor can provide general support and will be your first point of contact if you have any queries.
Financial Support
A number of scholarships are available each year to students at the University, including sport and music scholarships.
The Student Advice and Support Office provides a money advice service and can advise on personal budgeting.
Our Careers and Employability Service is also on hand to help you find holiday and part-time work.
Wellbeing
The University provides a free professional counselling service for any students experiencing personal, social or emotional concerns.
The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy also offers personal and pastoral care for people of all faiths and none.
For students with diagnosed mental health conditions, Mental Health Mentors are available and can help with tailored, confidential support.
Health Support
Aberdeen city offers a fully comprehensive NHS service including two medical practices within walking distance to King’s College Campus.
